From Elehear I did get info on domes to fit from Amazon and much cheaper than what they had, or I should say on what they did not have, all solded out, at the time. I’m all good a happy old man.
Yes !!!
I have the ELEHEAR - Beyond Pro. 1st. set of hearing aids at 70yrs. old.
It took some to get used to but I really like the phone bluetooth connection.
On my above question for universal hearing aid domes. EleHear was sold out and they did show me a brand I could use from Amazon. The domes were half the price of what EleHear wanted.
Amazon
I’ll just copy the description from their site. Here you’ll get 10 pairs $14.00
Compared to Elehear only 6 pairs at $30.00 Hearing Aid Domes for Oticon Replacements, Oticon Minifit Open Vent Bass Domes (10 mm/2 Packs), Universal Domes for Oticon Hearing Aid Supplies.
If you don’t know your ear size, then keep on reading. This is what I did and found what I needed.
Look at Elehear accessory page and you’ll see that they have 4 different sizes: small to extra large.
Elehear starts you off with the tulip domes; these Domes will fit almost any size ear.
With all the domes they gave me you got to find which one fits in your ear with comfort.
I took the 4 open domes and with the size that fits good in my ear. On their accessory page I see I take a Large 10.2mm dome.
The Elehear are 2mm. Oticon No Wax are 2mm and the same thickness. They come in a “turtle wheel “ with light blue pull tabs.
Oticon Pro Wax are also 2mm but are much thinner.
They come in a wheel with light gray pull tabs. These I didn’t like, go with the Oticon No Wax blue pull tabs.
Both are available on Amazon. The No Wax are more difficult to find and cost about $.55 per wax guard.
Elehear cost $1.25 per.
Thank you for the detailed reply. I actually wore Oticon Minirite for 6 or so years. The and domes look too small for the elehears but maybe that’s because they are “mini”? I’ll try some of those that you listed and thanks again!
I thought about what you said and finally decided to just try to put an oticon dome on the elehear. It does fit! I’m not sure if the size relates very well but that’s easily (?) solved with a ruler or calipers.
No problem as long as the domes fits in your ears. For the Oticon makes different ones that not all will fit. If you need to buy some make sure you get the ones that I’ve posted.
Good Luck,
Rich
