Hi, I am user using from beginning of hearing loss . I have been using them since 12+ years .
My hearing loss is progressive and mixed .now it reaches to 80 to 85 db loss. My audiologist didn’t recommend CIC when I wanted to upgrade to one because my old CIC was 8+ years . After convincing her, I took new CIC but this time it is HP( high power) CIC as she suggested my hearing loss is now more sever and MP( medium power) couldn’t accomodate my hearing loss.
I believed her and bought one. I loved it and it is almost helping lot than the previous HA but little annoying part is sharp sounds like my kid voice (high pitched), dish washing sounds , car door closing these all feels like hitting my ear drum .
I went once to my audiologist to address this and she programmed to somewhat bearable but shape sounds from objects and all I still feel troublesome
My highest fear is that with this high pitched sounds produced from my CIC does damage my residual hearing ? Should I address this problem to Audiologist and get programmed?
My old CIC when I bought new once ago didnt make me feel this way.
Is it because of upgrade from MP to HP ? Anyone have some thoughts here ?
Thanks in advance ?
