New to Hearing Aids--model question

I am new to this site and I want to thank you for all the information posted here. It has been very good to review prior to my purchase. Over the past 2 years I have noticed significant high frequency hearing loss and finally broke down to get my hearing officially checked out. Now both my wife/kids and colleagues are much happier that I am able to hear. I have noticed a significant change in my anxiety now that I can hear what is going on. I was fitted with some reSound hearing aids but the box didn’t specify which model. I think they are Verso 7’s. Is there a way to verify it with the model or serial number? My listening/hearing environments necessitate the additional noise canceling and if I have been fitted with the Alera’s I want to try the Verso’s. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

You should have received paperwork specifying the make and model of the aids you purchased. If you do have a model number, we should be able to help you out. If you purchased at Costco, I’m pretty sure they’re still on the Alera line vs. Verso.

The name should be near “ReSound” on the side of the hearing aid that touches the top of your ear. The serial number is often either in the same spot, or inside the battery door (you may need a magnifying glass and a flashlight to see it). Here is a link to the Alera user guide11 for a receiver-in-the-ear type, and here is a link to the Verso user guide8 for the same type… looks like it should be in the former place. Your audiologist (maybe even the administrative assistant) should also be able to tell you.
