Hi everyone, I’ve had a look around the forum but don’t seem to see anything about what the NHS has in terms of Phonak Cros / other aids. and I wanted to ask if anyone knows what that NHS provides, or might provide if there is an upgrade coming this year?
Context:
I moved from my last audiology trust that gave out Phonics - but they did not have a CROS with , so I only got one hearing aid. My new NHS Audiologist in a different trust gave me Oticons.
I’ve been having fitting problems for over a year, between domes, two moulds and multiple adjustments, as well as changing to . This last month it also started ‘warbling’ like the processor was overloaded maybe? I’ve asked to change before, but this NHS trust only does Oticon - no others, and I’ve asked for them to ask if they can get Phonak’s in for me. My audiologist has said they will ask management if they would allow an Individual funding request - but I would like to know what I could expect in terms of tech. Thank you!
Currently wearing: NHS Oticon Sage BTE + Cros12
