Well yeah, so they install modules, manufacturers software and verification etc and store it all in one place, so it doesn’t matter which brands/software is used, supposed to help make fitting easier and speed things up, not one clinic I ever visited used it, standalone installation is quite common with clinic’s still.

is there a chance of loosing data with standalone softwares ?

No never, everything is stored on the HD on your PC, you can also export client data to an external HD.
