I’m still investigating going diy and so far I haven’t bought any aids to play with. I have come across cheap ish Specsavers aids but can I diy these ? Are there any brands I should avoid to go the diy route ?
Specsavers have said they would program them for me as my current aids are from them, so I asked. But this kind of defeats my objective.

Looks like i will not be using SPECSAVERS. That is most helpful. I am still finding my way around this site .

Check eBay UK for cheap programable ’s. Read more from this forum, then you know which model HA is . Just be patience.Take you time

I have purchased Starkey Livio 2400Ai which wasn’t my original plan. Now worried as never bought them like this before but used credit card as added protection 
Apparently they are not locked so hopefully I will be trying this new venture soon . Best start reading the diy section!!
