Older software for Compilot II and hearing aids

I had a great app to change settings with Phonak Hearing aids and Compliot II. Had to get a new phone and the app would not transfer to the new Android phone and it is now obsolete, I guess. The newer app that can be downloaded from Google playstore will not connect, but I am NOT sure it its meant to use the Compilot II. It is searching forever for the aids themselves, and Compilot says it is connected via Bluetooth on phone. The menu to make changes to settings will not appear on the app until it thinks there is a connection. Any help? I see reference to Target software that looks like it could work with the Compilot, but it cannot be downloaded unless you have a professional license account or something from Phonak? I would like to handle this myself as aids are still functional and working (but honestly do not now their model)...just want to adjust the way I used to be able to do! We have moved several states away and not willing to buy new aids or go thru the expense of a visit. HELP??

Hi there, ok where to start..so this App could be side loaded to your Android device, Google "Phonak RemoteControl App apk download" but the new versions do not work with the old compilot ll as you've noticed, next if you want to your then you'll need the icube ll programming device or HiPro and cables, an older version of target say 7 or so and you'll be good to go, would be very helpful if we knew the exact model you have, have a look inside the battery compartment, you'll see the serial number and model there.

I will check that out The tiny printing on underside of aid says Audeo, which is also not made anymore. 0450 or 0459 appears to the side of that, but have never lifted out the cover area to see there is anything more inside of that there. Honestly have over the years only worn these when leaving home, but seeking to get more use out of them if they an be adjusted somehow like I used to. They were expensive in the beginning.

Says my account is too new to download and share a photo! The Audeo is clear but a line goes thru the number, so can't tell if it is 0450 or 0459. I hesitate to pry anything open to look inside without assurance that would work or gain more info. Is this enough info? I really appreciate your concern and help!

Hey so you just open the battery door and look up inside the , a bit like this.

I am seeing all kinds of warnings about NOT trying to open the battery of rechargeble 's!! I think the number Audeo CE 0459 is what we need to work with. In prying open something that is not meant to open, I fear damaging them! I saw a total setup like mine for sale on bay for $229 giving that number as well. Other than my Compilot II being a clip on one, that number seems valid.

Looks like from further searching that CE0459 is only a specification, not a serial number. There is NO door or latch....I would have to open by cutting into and forcing a seam to open. Right?? Very scared to do that!

Why You Cannot Open Them

Sealed Design: Most modern rechargeable hearing aids (like Phonak, Oticon, and Signia) use built-in, permanent lithium-ion cells.

Risk of Damage: Trying to pry open the sealed plastic casing will permanently break the device and ruin the internal electronics.

Special Tools: Professional clinics use specialized tools and software to swap internal batteries and update the device serial number.

Yeah obviously you don't open the housing on a rechargeable! No you do this only on disposal models which you must have if it's the old models that work with compilot ll, I might be wrong but rechargeable came later, so just connect them to the Phonak App and you'll then have the exact model, pity you couldn't add a picture when you wanted to, but you should have no problem now.

CE 0459 has nothing to do the models, just a CE stamp for the European union.

I found exactly what that older app was and can download a copy of it, BUT my Android Phone (version 16) will NOT install it! Phonak Remote Control v. 2.1.0 1684 release. So it now exists on my phone, but this is the install error I get: INSTALL_FAILED_NO_MATCHING_ABIS: INSTALL_FAILED_NO_MATCHING_ABIS: Failed to extract native libraries, res=-113

So having the software app does not help! Unless someone has a work around for that.

Crazy, that it still exists on my old phone I still have. I guess I could keep it charged and use the app to make changes to the 's but that certainly is not ideal!!!

Yeah so the App only works with certain Android version, so 16 is the latest so no surprises it's not working, so please go to you old phone and connect to these you have so we know the exact model you are using, as I'm confused about this.

Ok so I've now noticed that the first rechargeable from Phonak is the Audeo B-R, and this is the last platform to use the compilot ll, so this must be the one you have?

Yes, that seems reasonable. I charged my old phone and opened the Phonak app. No information on the 's themselves from that as it connects ONLY to the Compilot II, NOT to the hearing aids themselves. I can change volume, which is what sent me on this quest in the first place, so may be just stuck with doing that! There are 2 other settings possible, which I really cannot test in my home setting...which may change somewhat background noise effects. That old app is very limited in what it could do, so maybe I see the rationale in it being obsolete. Would be great to extend the functionality of my aids, but probably inevitable that they may fail at some point. I just feel I never really got the mileage from them I should have! Thanks for your concern and advice!
