Opinion on Ugrading from Resound Nexia to either Vivia or Enzo

My first time posting! Hopefully my is showing. If not, I have Moderate to Severe to Profound hearing loss with an almost vertical drop from 1.5K to 8K and NR at 8k in my right ear. My doctor is recommending a for the right ear. At my CI audiology test, they mentioned that maybe I could get by without that since hearing in quiet is 88% (with ) – as you may know, you do the Cochlear Implant hearing test with your HAs on. But hearing in noise is still a disaster.

I have had Resound Nexia HAs for 2 years now and they are pretty good, but still lacking in alot of situations for me. I am looking for opinions on upgrading to Resound Vivia 9 IA or maybe the Enzo IA Super Power HA.

Is there something else even better in the near future – months – not years.

Yes my biggest complaint for my Resound Nexia’s is hearing in noise. The noise setting seems to be louder than the normal setting. I have had two different audiologists program them and its the same. I will look at the Phonaks. While my old Costco Kirklands – which were Phonaks – overall were no where as good as my Nexias, they were superior in noise reduction.

The Phonak Sphere is a different beast in noise compared to other Phonaks and miles better than the KS10 in noise (That’s not the case with the Infinio non-Sphere).

If you want to stick with Resound, make sure you buy from a place that has free trials or free returns so that you are not stuck with something that is not going to work for you). Costco has both the Vivia 9 and the Renzo IA (rebadged as Jabras).

I have Jabra Pro 30s - Vivias, which succeeded Nexias. I’ve had conversations with the Pro 30s that I’ve been unable to have for 20 years. I think the Pro 30s are great - but Phonak Spheres or the newest Starkeys may be better. The Spheres get better press. I know nothing about the Enzos.
