Honestly, it sounds like a way of getting you through the door so someone can sell to you. It’s just a variation on what we see on Facebook all the time: Wanted! 60 people to trial amazing new hearing aid technology for free! Yeah, thanks very much. They’ll offer you a trade-in roughly equal to the ‘discount’ they would have offered you anyway.

Years ago, I wished that you could buy a kind of hearing aid annuity. X number of dollars per year and you get all of the latest models as they are released. Or maybe a flat fee for 10 years worth of upgrades. Something like.

FWIW I donate my old to a local agency to be reconditioned for those who can’t afford them.
