Oticon easy LE adapter died on me

Hi,

was working fine and I tested and compared it to my C82 LEA.

I left the easy LE in the USB-C over night. Turned the PC on and there was no sound icon, there was no device detected. I pushed down the pin no blinking LED. this thing is dead.

did my standby power kill this thing?

I have a feeling during initialization this thing got fried. This is mainly for tablets and phones, also advertised for PC. the only difference on PC is, that it can sent more than 5V out.

I never saw a warning but might it be unsafe to use the usb-c sound dongles on usb-c on pc?

I use a usb 2.0 A adpter to usb-c now. because i’m afraid the pc is killing this thing on initialization.

I’m currently using a second one.

I also enabled ERP in bios. shutting USB ports off when PC is off.

USB drivers, are quirky on PCs. I’ve got a Dell XPS which works great with any USB device I throw at it, until I connect my e-reader. The e-reader prompts to charge only or connect to PC. Tap on connect, and the PC reboots, and then gets the BSOD! It than keeps rebooting until I disconnect the reader. It’s done it with 2 different makes of readers, both using Linux kernel.

It’s gotta be a driver conflict.
