Welcome to the forum @zod please be careful with adjustments for others! you’ll need to do some research and read the user guides before starting, as this is very helpful for setting up the first time, Genie2 has a demo simulation mode so you can get familiar with how it works before starting, again just be careful and know what you want to achieve and how to do it with Genie2, it’s not hard but easy to make mistakes as well.

Thank you for the heads up, @tenkan, well received.
I started my research regarding Genie2 after finding some affordable Oticon hearing aids to replace my father’s noname ones - china rechargeable with frequency tuning in a suspicious and crappy android app - they improved my dad’s condition but they have a lot of flaws and I think may even degrade my dad’s condition on the long term. I have pretty decent computer skills as well as frequencies and sound levels are familiar so I would not put my father at risk (the demo simulation mode makes this even more safe, thank you for the tip).
I will probably ask around regarding the tinnitus tunes, as this seems to be an important tune to make - my father also suffers from a light tinnitus condition.
I might create a separate topic if this is not the proper thread to post, at the moment I am just looking for the pieces of my diy project to come to place: waiting for the noahlink wireless and jet 2 bte has to arrive, looking for the genie2, user guides (please help
). I think I might ask Claude as well regarding the genie2 configuration and maybe post the results here.

Hi there, ok sounds like you have a plan for now, as for tinnitus treatment, you’ll probably not get much relief unless it is only minor, in this case you’ll probably find just using the fitted and adjusted correctly to be sufficient relief.

I was wondering if the tinnitus soundsupport would make a difference.
From what you tell me, I understand that the most important thing is to focus on properly tuned , and that would probably fill the missing frequencies that would generate tinnitus sounds otherwise. It makes sense.

Yes correct, it’s all i use, I don’t notice my tinnitus until I remove my ; ) so it seems you’ll be good to go, cheers
