since the latest firmware update forthe Intent 1, have you experienced issues like one earpiece going out, or a power down/up with the reset “chime”? Additionally, now having issues with the app (which is awful btw) re connectivity AND weird battery settings, like full on one earpiece, 20% on the other (if the app “sees” it at all).
I deleted the app, cleared the cache. I also did a complete reset of all network settings on iPhone inc . Eliminated the . BT device. Started everything over, pricess went very quickly and so far has been solid. We’ll see.
But calling audiologist Monday AM for appointment anyway.
Yes! I Have had issues with my brand new Oticon Intents since the day I got them in October 2025. The new firmware 1.3 was loaded on to the hearing aids the day I got them so I do not have any experience with the earlier firmware.
The has swapped out 4 aids for brand new ones and my issues have continued. My hearing aids (Oticon Intent 1) are at as I type this for repair for the very similar issues we have stated.
I imagine my AuD thinks I’m doing something detrimental –like participating in Extreme Sports or something. I am not! I crochet– for Godsakes. I don’t stream. I am 68 years old and my life and activities are very quiet and tame. The loudest/busiest/wildest place I go is to the grocery store.
I have experience dead aids— one or the other at different times. I have had an issue with the a non -responsive power up/power down button on one aid. I have had weird battery readings but from the app and triple-clicking thru my iphone. Same thing as yours… one aid will say 90% —other aid will say 20%. I too, chalk this up to the awful app or just not getting an accurate reading from the setting in the iphone.
Your solutions regarding resetting phone, forgetting aid, re-pairing the aid, deleting the app has not solved my issue including swapping out for brand new aids.
Thank you for posting this…. as I am not the only one reporting issues with perhaps the firmware update.
Gotcha… here’s the problem AND the solution. The intents keep track of all Bluetooth connections, even when you “forget” the connection in your device, intent still “knows”. The idea is to reconnect with things when it recognizes another device. All of these Bluetooth “ghost” connections play havoc, all of the symptoms you and I posted. These ghosts can’t be seen by you BUT they can be removed by your audiologist running the Oticon Genie 2 software. Once they were removed (about 4-5 weeks now), there hasn’t been one problem. Absolutely rock solid. See your AUD.
Ok… thank you I will see her next week and have her check.
My hearing aids the both Intents and the Reals have only been connected to my Iphone only. I have never paired either the Intents or my back up Reals to any other device such as Ipad or home computer. They are paired with my Apple Car Play but that is also thru my Iphone. They have been paired with Oticon connect clip (which the AUD disconnected in Genie software last visit in December) and they have been paired with the Oticon TV adapter 3.0.
I just got my Intents 1 in late December. The red and blue color markings have already chipped off (like you no extreme sports here), have yours?
I like these better than trialed Widex Allure but not yet even 60% happy. They make a lot of warbling and screeching feedback noises at higher frequencies. Still working with audi on settings.
