Oticon Intent 1 issue

I have been wearing Oticon Intent 1’s since April of this year and been having some issues. The most annoying one is that my right seems to randomly start to hiss, like a too much gain sound, alternating with it shutting all sound out but not powering off. This happens in a fairly consistent pattern of 3-5 second hiss pattern followed by several minutes of what I can only describe as total occlusion with no sounds making it to my ears. I also experience random 8 beeps which I have been told is a microphone problem or possibly a power problem. I have changed my and cleaned everything on my ear molds.
My audiologist is away until early November so I am hoping some of the members here can help me figure out what is going on.

The hiss, are you in a quiet place when you notice it or noisy, or just completely random, seems you already know that something is up with the mics, do you use a dry storage unit?

8 beeps sounds for sure like a microphone issue, and the symptoms seem to be in line with that, so you need to get that in to a authorized Oticon audi for repair.

I can’t believe your audi is away until November, isn’t there a referral service?

Tenken, thanks for the reply, I do not use a dryer. I keep it in the charger overnight to charge them.

An update on my problem. My audiologist’s office has a tech that performs routine and some corrective maintenance. The tech placed my ’s in a device to dry them in a short amount of time. The device also had a vacuum and when they handed me back my HA’s, they sounded like new. I really appreciate both of you for the advice resolving my problem. BTW, I dug out my nearly new dryer and plan to use it every day.

Yeah it’s the first thing I thought off was maybe some moisture on the mics.
