As @PaulC states, Oticon discourages using the Feedback analyzer. the reason is, the introduction of More Sound Optimizer (MSO)
In the Automatics section of Genie 2 is the Feedback manger, which has 3 settings, if FB does occur.
In my case, and many others the use of Oticon’s Spectro Temporal Modulation technology that creates a breaker-signal to stop audible feedback before it happens can cause tremolo, or flutter on higher frequencies, especially in music.
They actually started using this method with the OPN S and called it Open Sound Optimizer.
The problem was you couldn’t turn it off, and the STM caused the warble to render the OPN S unusable for me. They knew about it, but never issued a firmware update, and informed my audi to upgrade me to the More, which has the Feedback Manager, and by setting it to Low, or if extreme the Off setting, the problem is resolved.
Feedback analyzer should only be run if Feedback manager doesn’t stop whatever feedback is still present.
Hope that helps.
