Does this receiver look like its seated properly ? This was done by a technician.
I had ordered new earmolds for my husbands hearing aid. The new earmolds are larger than the ones we had before. So the tech got a larger receiver, in size, not decibel and installed it into the new earmold. It doesn’t look right to me, but I am not familiar with these type hearing aids.
I’m thinking it sticks up too far, but you cannot push it in any further.

It does not look like it is in all the way, but I have had several Oticon micromolds (earmolds for canal receivers) make the wire stick out of the ear a bit. The length of the wire would not affect anything, but the sleeve is only made for a particular power of receiver (60 or 85). If the power of the receiver is the same, Oticon does recommend using a poker-type tool to get the receiver inserted. Do you know what the earmold material is? If it is Ototherm you would need to heat it up with a hairdryer first so it can become pliable enough to get the speaker in there.
