Oticon More Power BTE version availability

Adding more characters to reach the 20 character limit…

I changed the fitting rationale to NAL-NL2 on Starkey evolv AI Power BTE and copied my Oticon Real1 gains up to 6.9K. However 7.5K-9.4K could not be increased any more.

I did side by side comparison by watching the same movie segments over and over. Oticon sounds a bit louder and fuller. Maybe this is due to the fact and the receiver is very close to the eardrum? However, some words sound crisper on Starkey. It is very hard to declare a winner.

This is the standard NAL-NL2 curve automatically set by the fitting software. However, the loud sounds are distorted/shrill. Lowering high frequencies solves the problem.

I have also noticed that if you change the fitting formula, this applies to all programs. This is unlike Oticon where you can choose different formulas for different programs.

I found out that the shrill sounds on high-gain high frequencies are actually feedback (?) caused by the vent in the earmold. I filled the vents with the wooden toothpicks and the distortion disappeared.

Has anybody heard any news about Oticon power aids?

Is there going to be an Oticon Intent power BTE? Or any power BTE from Oticon soon?
