I’m closing the book on Oticon and power aids since the last one they made was the Xceed in 2019. With nothing to show after seven years, Oticon is now history as far as offering an Ultra power aid with a 675 battery. Phonak has a better track record, but the company’s standing in the water hasn’t shown anything new since the Lumity. And many here didn’t buy the Lumity since it’s the same as the Phonak Paradise, which went on the market in 2/2021. So (in reality land) Phonak hasn’t come out with a new power aid since 2021, or 5 1/2 years.
Call me pessimistic, looking through all the cobwebs, but if Phonak goes another year with no sign of a new power aid, I’m kissing all power aid manufacturers goodbye. Resound Enzo and Signia Motion don’t cut the mustard, though some here might disagree. In any case, I’m starting to think all ultra power hearing aids are going the way of the Dodo bird. And that’s sad.
