With the help of members of this forum having tuned my NHS Nathos Auto SP aids (aka Bolero V-70 SP) nearly 3 years ago I have not logged in for a while.
On eBay recently a pair of Naida V90 UP were listed and I won the auction - just !!
I do not need the higher output of the UP but rather wanted to find if the V-90 gave any benefit from the additional features / programs.
I connected to the aids fine using HI-PRO and cables then transferred the programs from the Nathos Auto SP. I set the earmould / tube details and ran the real ear test.
In the devices screen I enabled the setting so that operating the button or volume control on one aid should change also change the other aid.
One program I have set is speech in loud noise - this is where at least for the Nathos Auto SP the aid work together.
While still connected to the HI-PRO I noticed that changing the program or volume on one aid did not change the other and that with the speech in loud noise program selected the aids were not working together.
Once the settings saved in Target ( 6.1 I think, certainly 6.x ) I disconnected from the HI-PRO and inserted batteries. All fine except still changing the program or volume on one aid did not change the other and that with the speech in loud noise program selected the aids were not working together.
Without reconnecting loaded Target and the fitting session but I can not see any setting I have not enabled. Is there something I have missed? If so can somebody explain exactly what and where - screen grabs uploaded here or privately in a message would be helpful.
Otherwise logically one if not both of the Naida V90 UP aids have a fault.
I also need to spend time with the SoundRecover2 settings as different to SoundRecover for the Nathos Auto SP. Quickly though I’m not convinced first with the adjustments I made and second when in the real world. I left both sliders set to the right Distinction and Comfort. Moving the upper one left to Audibility seemed to be cutting out the higher frequencies.
P.S. to moderators
I started a new topic as I could not find a relevant one.
If there is and this post needs moving to that please do so and message me with the link. Likewise if the Soundrecover part needs splitting to a separate new or existing topic.
