Philips HearSuite 2023.1 Update

Over the weekend HearSuite Updater downloaded update 2023.1. I installed it, and it installed without issue. However, when I tried to use HearSuite after the update it would fail to connect to the hearing aids through Noahlink Wireless. HearSuite got hung up while connecting. Nothing I tried could get it to work, so I rolled it back to 2022.2.

Has anyone else had an issue with this update? Any recommendations for troubleshooting?

Thanks. I should have specified that the Noahlink Wireless is working fine with Signia programming software and also works correctly with HearSuite 2022.2.

Well, let me be more specific.

The most likely problem is this; Your hearing aids are very busy processing a myriad of tasks, one of the tasks being to listen on its built-in Bluethooth Low Energy/ radio for connection requests from Noahlink Wireless.

I suspect that listening for connection requests from Noahlink Wireless consumes incessant CPU cycles and energy so it is likely that after some period of time, your hearing aids will stop listening for the Noahlink Wireless connection requests.

The solution; Off/On cycle your hearing aids (either manually with specific button pushes) or by placing them in-and-our of the charger.

Now I don’t have first hand knowledge that this is the way it works. Let’s just call it a guess.

The hearing aids do connect to HearSuite 2022.2. They do not connect to HearSuite 2023.1 I am not having a simple problem using the Hoahlink Wireless.

To avoid getting any more off track, I am asking about experiences people are having with HearSuite 2023.1.

Yeah interesting problem, I would of thought what PVC said( reboot )would of got them connected, so you’ve done the reboot the PC (complete shutdown and restart) reinstall the new version software from the website, and then try again.

Was there something in the new version you needed?

Weird, I had to make a new client and readout the to the new client. Now works well with no issues. The only change that I can see is that a 9040, 7040, 5040 model has been added.

Ha, so there you go, sometimes it’s the simple things, good to know tho.
