Phonak App - Error Switching Programs

I’ve set up a couple of my own “hearing programs” (so I can hear soft voices in large rooms) with help from this forum. Unfortunately, every now and then (at least twice per week), when I toggle within the app to a program other than “automatic,” I get a message in a red-bar in the app telling me it cannot change at this time. Then 2 minutes later, the aids go soundless, and they shut down and restart.
I’d appreciate any insight into what is going on and any advice on how to fix this. I check the bluetooth connection and it is connected to the aids, and if I stream something, it works. Thanks so much.

Mine does that, too. I find I don’t need to manually switch programs very often, so I’ve just stuck to the four allowed in Target.

Phonak makes top quality hearing aids, but the MyPhonak app is not particularly top quality IMHO

The MyPhonak app is like Windows, both try to be universal and both achieve that objective reasonably well, but not 100%. In particular, both are a bit picky on which type of hardware (computer/phone) you run them on, and both software can become a bit inconsistent if you personalize their functionalities too much.

I myself have changed phones, and use the personalization offered in the Target (fitting) software to the fullest, but do not use any personalization offered in the MyPhonak app.

All in all, I am quite happy with with Phonak (and Windows) :slight_smile:
