Good question, yes the spheres. My goal is to get the phonak tv connect version 2 and roger on mic from ebay once hearing aids are ordered then take all three items to audiologist. in case she needs to set anything up, if you can do it from the app then i can program them.

Go to the category on here. Get yourself a noahlink wireless, a copy of target, and you’re in business for yourself. It can be hard to find a provider willing to work on your equipment purchased from other places.

Pardon my ignorance, but why would getting those devices help, how would they allow me to work on my own devices? This is fascinating to me so as much detail or thoughts you have are appreciated.

With respect, it’s all explained in great detail in the self programming section of this forum You will have to put some effort in to learn for yourself.
If it is beyond your skill set or not something you would care to do (as is the case for most people) then consider working with your audiologist to help you.

Yes, you can do it from home. Need a windows computer, a NoahLink Wireless (from Amazon or Ebay, frequently available for $150 to $200) and the same software your audiologist uses which is available free here on the forum. Check out this video to see what it is all about–
If you are still interested there are free courses available specific to the Phonak aids.

Thank you all, this is super fascinating indeed. I will learn as much as i can as soon as I get my new aids. One more question, will the audiologist know that I have been messing around with the settings if she takes a look if I go back to her for say, speaker replacements and we need to make a change to the aids themselves? Also, where on the forum is the link for the target software? Thanks so much.

You will be surprised at how much information the hearing aids record. My audiologist has told me how long I wear my aids each day. What the volume levels that I have my aids at and even the environments I have been in. I would expect that they know of you have swapped the receivers at the receivers have unique serial numbers that more than likely the aids can read from the receivers.

Yes my aids can do that too, kind of creepy actually. I will mention it to my audiologist and see how she takes it. I use my hearing slightly different then some of her other patients so sometimes its a pain to keep going back and forth testing and testing.

Yes, she will know that you have worked with the aid even if you re-install their settings since a time stamp is included in each fitting and that will not match the time stamp in their copy. My audiologist was very helpful in my getting started in activities. Hopefully yours will also be helpful.

Some of this information is also available in the MyPhonak app under the Health tab. The MyPhonak app also offers information on calories burned and steps taken, but since one typically doesn’t wear 24/7, a smartwatch is a better, more accurate monitor of these parameters.

I have the Samsung Watch 8 Classic for it’s health monitoring. It has been helpful even for helping my doctor.

Problem for me is the incoming audio on phone calls is very clear but the audio through the mic to the other party is not treated by noise cancellation so I’m often told either they can’t hear me or the back ground is too loud or there is conflicting speech from another room interfering. I have checked on how to mitigate this and only found the answer to be using the phone speaker audio which does major speech enhancements on the outgoing adio including ANC but this means no hands-free connection and only speaker through phone for incoming audio.

WOW. I had no idea! Is that level of detail only available for folks using myPhonak app? Or is it also tracking my every move with my 312-battery aids?
I don’t want to sound paranoid, but I just feel OVERWHELMED with the bazillions of sources tracking us, spamming us with emails and phone calls, intruding into our lives, trying to glean a particle of information that they can turn around and make a tenth of a cent with.
It’s enough to make me want to crawl into a bomb shelter. I just want to be left alone until and unless I initiate a need for me.
Or, better yet, if Phonak tracks my time in the pool, maybe take that info and develop a truly waterproof hearing aid. Otherwise, GIT OUTTA HERE. ![]()

It was what my audiologist could see from my Oticon INTENT1 aids. I haven’t received my Phonak Spheres yet, get them tomorrow.

I absolutely know this topic has been covered a few times in the forum, but can’t seem to type a search query to find your answer. I honestly don’t know if this issue - you can hear others on the phone, but they have trouble understanding you - is a result of your PHONE (iPhone, Android), the OS on the phone, some setting in your hearing aid, or what-all. Maybe you could post a new thread here with a subject line like: “I hear folks on phone, but they can’t understand me” and see what the solution is. GOOD LUCK, hope you figure it out, cuz that would drive me NUTS.
On the one hand, the devil in me cackles cuz the shoe is on the OTHER foot now! Folks not able to hear us. Alright. I gotta let go of that and strive for the two-way communication that works so FABULOUSLY for me with my Phonak 312-battery Lumity Life aids + Samsung Flip7 phone. I’ve never had the issue you describe, so I can empathize how frustrating it is.

for those that have the phonak how is the battery life, after say a year will it hold a charge for a day or not? My greatest concern is that I will forget charger when traveling and be in trouble.

While it is always a possibility to for get the charger. I have a check list for trips. And I also keep a “Go Bag” that has a change of clothes and necessities for emergencies that has a spare charger and hearing aid cleaning kit and even my backup hearing aids.

I have had my i90 Sphere’s for just over one year. I have not experienced any degradation in the battery. I’ve had mine on since 7 am this morning. It’s now 7 pm in Toronto (12 hours of use) and I’m at 63% still remaining on the battery.
