I'm having issues with random and very unpleasant volume increases with my Phonak i90 ultra aids due to autosense. I understand it can be turned off but will this have a very negative affect with speech clarity in busy environments.
It's a sub program inside the autosense program that is often the culprit of patients noticing things suddenly going loud. Let your clinician know either way though because it can be some other things. Helpful for them to know when it happens and for how long.
Yes, I have experienced this on occasion. One definite culprit has been bluetooth, where some app or notification has kicked in the bluetooth program, which has turned out to be louder than the current program it is in. It might be worth checking your app immediately to see what program it is in. If it is bluetooth you will see it straight away, it will not be in automatic mode.
Also, if it is bluetooth causing the problem you can alter your phone settings to minimise the switching or even disable bluetooth streaming in the app which is what I do when wearing my glasses as they force bluetooth mode.
