My audio recommended changing the Android/Phonak App under: Devices → Connection Management/Change Settings → Stay Connected to Off in order to save battery.
It doesn’t seem to save much, but it does have another benefit.
I’m not always near my phone, and when I walk too far away for too much time, it drops the Bluetooth connection. When I come back it sometimes connects automatically, sometimes it does not. When it doesn’t reconnect, it’s a PITA to get it to connect again, sometimes requiring me to turn the aids off (It’s easier to put them in the charger), close the Phonak app, and re-open.
This never happens with Stay Connected in the off position. It connects quickly every time. But it also has the big chime alert sound coming out of the phone.
Does anyone know how to change that sound in the Android OS? or eliminate it entirely?
Thanks.
