After a long stay in tokyo, I realized my new hearing aids (audeo I 70-R) need some significant adjustments to the loud noise and wind noise dampening. Initially I had the audiologist increase it because I hated wind noise while driving (the wind noise would make it so I couldn’t hear the radio when I could hear it just fine without hearing aids), but it made being anywhere in a crowded area sound really muffled. In fact it’s so bad that it sounds better without my hearing aids while in louder city settings. Has anyone else experienced this?
All that said, I’m having a hard time getting an appointment to have it adjusted so I’m wondering how I could change it myself. I do own a noahlink wireless but I don’t know where to go from there. My hearing aids sound great when they’re not muffling the world around me so I’d like tips on fixing that.
