I won’t rehash the issues I’ve had over the first six months of wearing Phonak Audeo P90, you can read that here. Since that post on August 22, having just received my FIFTH replacement after returning from vacation, the right one then had audio level issues that turned out to be a faulty new HA right out of the box. Because I was quite busy with life and work, I put up with it until October before I got it diagnosed and replaced.I still have random level decreases a few times a week, but I suck it up and tell myself “just 27 more months and insurance will buy me another pair”. Here we are in December and I’m listening to a bit of music on the laptop tonight and the right HA starts to crackle and output decreases substantially. Multiple restarts, same issue. To say that I’m frustrated and angry that I paid $3500 that was supposed to improve my quality of life would be a gross understatement. I’m at a bit of a loss, honestly, and I’m sure my audiologist is getting frustrated as well. I know he’s less than impressed with the Phonak phone support he’s received during our sessions. And I really don’t want to spend another $3-4k on more frustration. In the meantime, it’s back to my old donated, bottom of the barrel Rextons for the rest of the weekend and hopefully get this sorted out before Xmas. ![]()
