Phonak Roger On

@WhiteHat I got you, but you are lucky to have the insurance to chip in, some of us have had to foot the bill, the whole nine yards plus the kitchen sink
But at least you can hear phone calls on both ears

Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life1

I got a Roger ON iN in Dec just in time for Christmas with my family on the west coast! It was a long wait! Worth waiting for and it does work well in many previously difficult situations where I would be unable to participate in conversation or make sense of what people were saying. Better in some situations than others, and not perfect, but a huge leap forward. The instructions are practically non existent and as a non tech person I am still trying to figure out how to use the tv cable…theoretically without affecting the sound for others watching. Perhaps using it in its dock? Not able to find anything on line to help figure it out. The barely there instructions that come with it do not show anything beyond placing the Roger by TV speaker…yet a TV cable is included as well as a sound cable. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions???

@Sunny

The dock using the optical cable (TOSLINK) is the way to go. Most TVs will mute their speakers when you plug an analog audio cable into the headphone port. Most people want to have other people in the room hear the program too.

@Zebras link shows the way.

There are splitters available that will take the toslink fiber and send it to two different destinations. Do some searches on here as I just answered a little while ago with a link to a product.

Unfortunately there are many TVs that turn off the optical out if the TV speaker is on (lots of LGs have an either/or menu). I had to use a splitter myself plus an add on speaker for the others.

I realize this is from way back, but the link doesn’t work. is there a new link for how to install the licenses? I’m still struggling with trying to use the Phonak Roger stuff. Mixed up about the DIRECT … thanks for any help

This is a new link for how to install the Roger Direct licenses with an Roger iN microphone.

The following link provide information how to install licenses from a Roger X receivers ( non Roger Direct)
