Default it’s always activated but you can change the default if you need too.

Looking at your first picture, your estimated feedback line is lowering your highs a bit.

You’re not getting full gain that is recommended. Thin line is your gain that is needed. Thick line is what you’re getting.

Even if you don’t run the feedback test, the estimated feedback line still lowers the gain so you’re still effected by it.
