Hi all,

Was re-installing Target and noticed on the licensing agreement it says we are allowed to use it as long as we have Sonova(Phonak) hearing aids.

As far as I can see that should mean we don’t need to be cloak and dagger about sharing the software - its licensed as long as we have (see below).

EDIT: - Hmmmm… looks like we are not licensed to share it though…ho hum

You have no right to rent, lease, lend or further distribute the Software.

Grant of License and Term of License

Sonova grants to you a limited non-exclusive license to use the Software, subject to all of the terms and conditions set out in this License Agreement (the “License”).

You may, during the Term of the License, as defined below:

(a) install and use the Software on one or more computers, in accordance with the Documentation, to program, configure or otherwise process hearing aids exclusively from Sonova; and

(b) copy the Software for back-up and archival purposes, provided that every such copy includes all proprietary notices included with the original Software and the media containing the original Software.

The license is granted for the duration you purchase, maintain and adjust Sonova hearing aids that are suitable for use with the Software.

“Cloak and dagger” that sounds like the brotherhood! but you forgot about most forum sites own “terms and conditions” © for copyright ; )

If it’s free to use so long as you have the ’s then simply sharing the link to download it would not infringe anything. No sharing or lending required. :slight_smile:
