Phonak Target Software... Last try before I give up

My name is Frantz, I’m french, and I got a viral infection a few month ago which took most of my hearing,especially on the left side… So I’m now wearing Phonak’s Audeo-Q90 312T , and life is back again… quite…
I’ve done a lot of reading on the forum,learned lots of things (thanks everybody) and found out that I’m quite happy having a good audiologist, who needed only a couple of weeks to tailor them to me, but as I’m a microelectronics engineer,have been working a few year as sound engineer in a local radio and also have a master degree in developmental psychology,including some special courses on deafness, I think I could master some fine tuning myself and spare a lot of time, because my audio is booked off for months…
But no way to get the target software in France yet; I think I may finally convince my audio to give me a copy, but it will take a long time and so , as you wrote other peoples to do it, here I am!
Do you still have some clues at getting the Phonak Target software? (the ebay link is locked in France)
Concerning the Icube, my sister and brother in law are living in Burlington and I think they couls purchase one for me.

didn’t even think of it… must say that my dear sister is really computer unfriendly, so she won’t be able to download a software and resend it to me, but if she can buy a good old CD, put it in a parcel and send it, it could be done, thanks for suggesting, I’ll ask her:)

Sorry you think my request is a scam, but I cannot access the ebay listing: here is what I get when I click on the link given by Zebras , I am redirected here http://www.ebay.com/itm/Error?errid=17&item=26136170787530 , which basically says this (and it is really frustrating,believe me!):

just got my sister’s answer: she gets the same error page, seems the link is dead or ther’s something I don’t understand :(… so I’m stuck…

Its because it’s been sold. Type Phonak Target in to eBay and I’m sure you’ll find some! Do you not have access to the eBay search bar, is that why you are stuck?

Nope, I don’t t get anything useful… only some commercial sites selling from different brands.
But I found help elsewere, from the guys at help2hear.org50, so it should be ok now.

I’ve just noticed that you are not in the US, that might be the problem. On eBay, select ‘worldwide’ and you’ll see what is available worldwide including the US and then maybe contact the seller and ask if they would send to you in France?

Thanks Zebra, that did the trick… I found somebody selling Icube and sending to France,thanks. I’ll ask him also about target software.

My Audi had previously given me an iCube for few days to play with, I am about to buy one and after some digging I was able to find links to Target 3.1 at Phonak India.

Yet unfinished story!
I successfully started a dowload this morning, which run slowly but smoothly until I had one quarter of the file, and then it hang…
And all subsequent retries were doomed :frowning:
I hope it’s just a server breakdown and I’ll retry tomorrow.
Wonder if some other phonak subsidiary has the download…

I’ll do it again tomorow, using fireftp for firefox, so I can see where it hangs.
Now, it’s 8:20 PM in Mumbai, so if the server is down, I suppose nothing will happen in the next 12h…

@remon: BTW did you manage to get the file?

Tried again this morning: connexion was established and download started again, but soooo slow: 50kb/s max, so it’s a 25h business, and I wonder if there is no restriction wich stops the process when a predefined amount of data is reached, or connexion time…
It seems that the only way to get the file is using an ftp client which allows partial downloads with restarts, and lots of patience!

Hi everybody!
some news: it worked! took a lot of time (roughly 25h…) but I got the complete file using fireftp. I made some tests and it appears that:
-bandwidth is 50kb/s max
-only one download at a time is authorized, so only one download every 25 hours, that’s it :wink:

Target 3.1 or 3.2 doesn’t matter. At the bottom of the first screen in Target is an update button that will allow updating the program to the latest release.
