Phonak unreliable charging case

I know this issue has been raised before but this seems slightly different. When I go to bed I put my KS10’s into their case ,making sure they are well pushed in. About one time in 5 when I open the case in the morning they are flashing orange and I have to wait a couple of hours before they are charged.. I changed both case and cable but no difference.The weird part is that they are still making contact but not charging when the case is closed. Schrödinger anyone?

I’ve had a similar issue twice with my Oticons. The second time I took an alcohol wipe and cleaned the contacts on the back of each aid and inside the charger. No problems since then.

The contacts had been cleaned already. Interestingly the issue is related to a multi outlet charger I had just bought. It is an Amazon mid price Chinese brand (Topadre) which I will be returning.Claude says that if there are different types of devices plugged in (an iPad and and an iPhone in my case) it can interfere with the Phonak charging case. It recommends getting a better one like an Anker. This morning the aids hadn’t charged and when I took them out and put them back the lights flashed alternate orange and green. I was sure it was the case at fault until I asked Claude. I then put them on a single outlet charger which I have had for years and everything was fine…
