Please recommend audiologist

Hi,

I live in Portland, OR and I have been a hearing aid user for more than 30 years. Unfortunately my great audiologist retired, so I have to look for another one.

I am looking for an audiologist who follows best practices for device selection, fitting, outcome evaluation (including real ear verification) and sells/supports a wide variety of hearing aids. My many years of experience with hearing aids and audiologists taught me that the skills of the audiologist are more important than the device itself.

Any recommendations based on personal experience for audiologists meeting the above criteria would be much appreciated.

Ask your old audiologist? As my doctors and dentists have retired over the years, I at least asked their opinions.

I used to live in pdx and saw several different audiologists there. I think the one I would recommend is Pacific Audiology, but I only saw the owner, Dr. Allison.

If you don’t mind a little drive, Scott Frink at Salem Audiology is VERY big on “Best Practices” and does things the right way. Salem is not a bad drive from PDX.
