Preparing for end of warranty

Hello Everyone,

I’m coming up to 2 1/2 years on my hearing aids and don’t plan to replace them for at least a year or two.

My hearing aids are Phonak P70 13T, which are 13 size battery based.

My audiologist did suggest sending them back to Phonak as we came up to the three year mark for warranty service.

Is there anything else that you suggest I should do? I will discuss with my audiologist, but wanted to see if there was some insights from the community.

My experience is that disposable battery Phonaks will keep on trucking past the four year mark with no issues. If you use custom molded receivers, you might wish to replace those if they are still under warranty and showing wear and tear.

That’s something I need to consider, I don’t have backups. Unless I can get loaners I’ll be without ha for the service period.

Good question for the audiologist.
