Who am I kidding…this is primarily a gripe session
but also a question because I’m open-minded enough to know that I could be missing something here…
I’m in a loaner set of aids while my Marvels are sent away for repair. These loaners are Lumity L90-R
I haven’t been wearing them for a few days now due to some canal infection or irritation
but I’ve been bringing them along in my pocket just in case I want them.
So twice now my daughter or wife has asked “what’s that noise?” (hearing the feedback)
so I’ve learned that with the aids off in the charging case, when I pull the plug to put the case in my pocket, it turns the aids on inside the case.
seems like a MAJOR design flaw!
the scenario I’m imagining:
- batts are low, and I turn them off and drop them in the charger at bedtime
- I have no idea how long these things take to charge fully, but let’s say they reach 100% by midnight
- at 12:01 AM the power goes out because of a storm (and the aids turn on in the case)
- power comes back at 6:00AM
- I wake at 6:01 AM not knowing about the power outage, expecting fully charged aids for the day…
- but what I find is aids that are 6 hours into the daily discharge
So what am I doing wrong?
or
Is this another reason confirming my dislike of rechargeable over my disposal 13 battery aids?
