Hi, i have to install a TV connector for my grandmum, but it did not work as expected.
The green light is alway an, if i hold down the button for 10 seconds nothing happens, the green light still is on.
Does anyone know if there is a possibility to reset the device?
Should it be possible to check the firmware/status with target software?
→ I did not find in the software any page that show me something about the via usb connected TV connector.

Normally, after the initial paring process, the green light comes on when the TV connector senses audio on the input. For example, if you’re watching TV and there’s an extended silence in the scene, then the light will go out until sound returns. At that point it might take a moment to react and reconnect, and you may even miss a bit of dialog. In practice it’s not an issue, I’m only mentioning it to explain how the device works. On some TVs, there’s noise on the output even when there’s no actual audio, and even when the TV is switched “off.” Apparently this is because the TV is powering the audio output to occasionally monitor it for something, and the TV connector interprets that as valid input. So in your case perhaps something like this is going on. The easiest way to diagnose is to plug the TV connector into a different device and see if it works properly. If it does, and if your TV has more than one audio output, try using a different one.
On a related note, as I described some time ago, if your TV is sending out sporadic audio output when switched off, the solution for me was to add a device that interrupts the power to the TV connector unless the TV is drawing sufficient current to light the screen. The device was cheap but you need some skills to connect and calibrate it. I solved that issue in very ‘electrical dolt’ fashion after a power failure/glitch killed the wireless card in my TV. After replacing the card, I put a power strip on the whole entertainment center and flip the switch off when I’m done.
No skills or calibripating involved, and it eliminates vampire power drain.
if i press the button, nothing happens. in the manual is described that the color of the led should change.
but only the green light is on, nothing happens if i press the button, or hold the button down for 7 seconds.
the tv connector is also not connected to tv in my tests, i have read than the led should also not be green.
maybe the device is not working correct and i have to bring it back to the shop.
