Resound M&RIE echo during VC or phone calls for the other person

Hi all,

I am a self programmer (basic level!)

I have a new pair of Resound Nexia 9’s. When I’m using MS Teams or phone calls on my iphone making calls the person on the other end is reporting that they hear themselves as an echo. I believe this is the microphone in my ear that they can hear as I use power domes.

Is there a way I can turn off that microphone in those programmes using SmartFit?

No you can’t do that as such, so which microphones are used for hands-free, all 3? Well anyways you could try the standard receiver to confirm.

I was worried that might be the case. I really do like the M&. Surely I can’t have been the only person who has struck this but googling doesn’t seem to reveal anything. I wondered if it’s the power domes trapping the third microphone. An open dome would probably fix that and might be worth a try. I’ve used for years and they really do help me.

The extra microphone is not inside the dome in your ear canal. It’s on the end of the receiver outside your dome but within your pinnae. So it can’t be “trapped” whatever sort of dome you use.
