Rodger 3 2 charging

I got Rodger 3 today and a little mystified by 2 charging things. They say to use the plug to charge the mic direct or on the docker or plug them into a USB port and charge from that. Has anyone used a smart charger such as the Anker 100W Charger I currently use for phones and laptop? The second query is charging from USB, my Thunderbolt USB C can output up to 100W and latter versions (4) much more. Are these safe and if so why not something like my smart charger that has the same maxim output as my Thunderbolt USBs

They are generally safe to use (I’d trust an Anker) but the current draw is TINY compared to what your devices offer. An original iPhone charging cube is overkill. Almost anything usb will give enough power to charge it. This afternoon I used my Roger on v3 down to 48% battery remaining according to myRogerMic app. I have a USB test device to monitor the power situation. I used an Anker that has about 45w capability, although I used a USB A type cable which would limit the power if you were reaching for the sky. I attached the picture from the tester.

Thanks for that. Whet you have passed on is very useful. I suspect as In can use memory sticks on Thunderbolt (some old ones) with no problem they will limit the output to the mic so shouldn’t be a problem. Tried the mic out yesterday once I got it going, finding how to get the licence over to the aids was interesting they really are not keen on users setting these up themselves are they.

Having to get an extension cable as my PC is a photo editing tower on the floor. The mic cant work for sound I found when plugged in to my powered USB bloc on the desk only directly plugged into the PC. Will probably have to either use a different cable or get more extension leads as the one supplied is stupidly short. But I was pleased with how it worked, pity I only found out how to get the licence over after I had been out for lunch in a noisy place! Again thanks. John
