Roger On Softcase removal

I have a new Roger On that came with a Softcase already installed. I also received a lanyard. I need to remove the case, but don’t know how. I’m afriad to force the case off. Can someone tell me how to remove the case so that I can attach the lanyard? Thanks.

Lift up the cover and flip it fully open. Grab Roger On in the location of the 2 semicircle openings and pull. It’s just a friction fit (maybe a magnet involved too?) Should be pretty straight forward. I just did it a couple of times on mine.
