yes but tbf the evidence of what works for cochlear dead regions isnt strong for any particular strategy. conventional thought for a long time was reduce high frequency gain but recent research days otherwise! in fact, even the concept of dead regions is contested. this audiologist who tried reducing high frequencies was new at the clinic and by all accounts very experienced.
