I have had some great help from people on this forum which I very much appreciate.
As a result of this help I can reliably connect my Signia aids to the Signia version of Connexx, or my Rexton aids to their version (using Noah wireless or connexxair) If anyone is struggling with that let me know and i will try to help.
I can run first fit, and set it up for the domes I am using, and have experimented with the critical gain setting (although I find that both Signia and Rexton are quite forgiving if I stray in to the critical area) I fiddle with the basic settings and fine.
So a big THANKS!
Now the next big question, for a self fitter without access to Real Ear measurement gear, can someone suggest the logical steps to take in trying to improve on first fit. I find I am jumping about all over the place, trying to adjust things for better results (speech from TV being my test, as I can replay the same programme with different adjustments to see it they work) However, it is all hit and miss. Can an experienced person suggest the steps that they would take?
I am sure that would be very helpful for others as well as me, as I have not been able to find a topic which covers it
thanks in anticipation
