Signia Aid won't play text alert tone

I have an iPhone 7 iOS 14.2.
My hearing aid plays the phone call alert tone but not the alert tone for text messages. The text msg alert is only played through the iPhone speaker which I can’t hear. What do I need to do to correct this problem?
