Signia IX Experiences and Connexx parameters

Hi all,

I’ve been trialling Signia Pure C&G IXs after trying the 7AX & Phonak 90s. The sound quality is very good, very natural & great for me as a working musician too.

However I have to use the app to boost the balance (treble) control almost to the max. Is this parameter saveable within Connexx? My audiologist tells me he can only boost the high end by adjusting compression, which is not ideal, and it is not adjustable on the aid itself.

Also, I have issues with Bluetooth, where it cuts out from my Apple iPad every 10 minutes then cuts back in.

The Bluetooth implementation on my Samsung Galaxy A53 is a complete dog’s dinner, connecting in one ear or not at all. Pretty appalling for £3000 aids. Any solutions?

It’s adjustable in Connexx, sounds like not quite enough, it’s only 1 or 2dB to make a difference, what program’s do you have to make the adjustments in, all or just one?
sorry I can’t offer much with your bluetooth issues but you wouldn’t be alone, most people just unpair and repair the to get both connected, what android version is your Sammy.

I have Connexx 9.8 but not the update for IX and no Noahlink at the moment. It’s the Specsavers audiologist making the changes.

I exlusively use the Musician’s Setting for everything. Maybe Universal if it’s windy but generally I can’t abide the overprocessed sound.

The Sound Balance parameter at 6 allows me to understand speech so that’s the one I would like to save as part of the program but the audiologist tells me ‘computer says no’.

Phone has Android 14 so up to date I think. Disappointing that and is not reliable. To be fair the Phonak Lumity 90s were the same and there’s been little progress on this from my Micon 5s 12 years ago.
