So I’m getting ready for new hearing aids (truhearing branded). For what it’s worth, my insurance allows me to purchase new Truhearing aids (7IX/truhearing premium). every year with unlimited visits for the 1st year - my cost is $1,100. My current model is a 7AX with . I currently have two TV streamers with one wired to a Sony Bravia (home) . This TV has bluetooth 4.2. The other is wired to a dumb Samsung (lake).
I’ve never used telecoil but I believe my fitter ordered that “just in case” and it also came with a rechargeable battery. I was assuming I was going with the (at some point) LE model UNTIL Signia came out with the BCT classic bluetooth model. I replace my aids every three years but could bump that up if necessary.
So do I go with the LE or the BCT classic bluetooth option? FYI - the streamers have been a real game changer for me. I’ve also found a truhearing provider that does (really looking forward to that process). I live alone so I don’t need to connect to my PC (yea, I do some gaming!). My phone is a S22 which will most likely get updated in the next year or two. And no, I’m not going to switch to an iphone. I’m usually a “cutting edge” player but I’m thinking this “cutting edge” technology is going to take years to fully roll out. So what to do or doesn’t it really matter?
