My first post, currently using the Signia Pure C&G 7AX (L) and Signia Cros (R). This being my second pair of ’s from Signia. I’ll save this one for another topic.

I have been using HA’s for nearly 40 years, ReSound being one of the many brands, etc.

My last set of HA’s were also the Signia Pure but battery operated. I am one of those users that requires a backup set of HA’s. (Perspiration being the problem which is why I went with the C&G instead). They are now 7 yrs old and Signia will not repair any of the HA’s beyond 5 yrs! I think we all know why. Yes you can use a third party to repair them, but my audiologist made it clear he will not touch them. Turns out it wasn’t worth repairing the HA anyway. My audiologist recommended Oticon for my next pair of HA’s as they will repair beyond 5 yrs old. Would like to hear from other users of Signia HA’s and their experiences?

Just wanted to make others aware.

Ive just (since February) started using the C&G 7IX(T). So far its been amazing. This is my first experience and its life changing. I do not know about longevity obviously, but the remote fittings and reprogramming is super. Battery life, the recharging kind is looong. My audiologist informed me that they are 3 year warrantied for replacement NOT repair; so this seems to fit with what you said. I lost the right one for a day in the deep snow but found it using a bluetooth locator. There was no damage but the audiologist said the above during my search. I am curious about what you find as well.

I am a long-time Phonak user and read good things about Oticon so I got some from an estate sale. I thought they were an improvement over the Phonak but not a great deal. I then had the chance to get some Signia Pure C&G 7AX and I have been very impressed. I was at a meeting and for the first time I could hear the questions from other audience members. Also, I find the Connexx software very comprehensive and detailed.

I also have the Signia Pure C&G 7AX T version. (turhearing branded) I will be upgrading to the IX version with classic bluetooth in January. I’ve had hearing aid fitters try to steer me away from Signia even though I’m happy with them. So I’d trial different brands and you make the decision not the fitter. My approach is different than yours in that I like to stay on top of any technological advances. So the 2 - 3 years is usually my time frame for replacing aids. Coping with hearing loss is pain enough without having to get aids repaired. My insurance allows me this option so from a finance perspective it’s doable. Not everyone has that option. Good luck.

Unfortunately my insurance covers a partial cost every 4 yrs and I’m only 2 yrs into my new ’s. I seriously need to have backup HA’s. I am also another techie when it comes to the latest and greatest in hearing aids. I am fortunate enough when it comes to the best HA’s out there money is not the issue.

To be clear…. I’m new to ’s. Less than a year into owning my 1st set, Signa 7IX pure bi-cross. I love them and it been life changing. Just a thought, if you’re happy but just need a back up? Would it be possible to purchase a set from an online discounter and DYI your current specs into the backups?

Hi again, great your willing to give a go, do read the user guides as it’s very helpful for setting up the first time and you’ll also need the Noahlink wireless programming device, and yes you can program bicross.

I have the signia pure charge & go 7 ax but as many here know I went through a lot of problems and I’m still dealing with then, other people told me it was a problem of the AX series. But I don’t know if the IX will improve all of the troubles I had so yeah I’m one of the users that is been using signia/siemens before the name change since I was 8 years old and I’m in doubt if I will continue using signia as my next hearing aids.

I not sure what troubles you were having with the AX; but I went from AX to IX, the IX work much better for me.

Thank you all for the follow up’s I’ll continue to deal with the Signia Pure ’s . From a performance standpoint they are excellent. What counts is I am hearing well loud and clear. Have a chance to try Oticon’s but I see some reviews here that users are not to happy with them. Bottom line is if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Will see.
