Smoothing bumpy fitting curves

Have made good progress on fitting my Phonak L30’s and I’m wondering if the bumpy curves are contributing to what little remains to be corrected.

The green lines in the attached pic seem to be what’s needed. I read on this site that a fitting of L90’s with the same curves, or ones with more channels, could be imported to the L30’s, but IDK…

Dunno but your gain curves aren’t really close in the higher frequencies, no SR obviously, but did you try it, what domes/molds are you using to get this in the screenshot I wonder.

SR = Phonak’s sound recover, .

“moves the sounds to an adjacent area with better hearing, where they can be processed and amplified”

Follow the curves that target automatically generates and make small adjustments from there, (don’t forget to do the feedback test)

What formula are you using? NAL or Phonak’s

Have been at this since July of 23 with 4 audis, 4 mfgs and 5 models of ’s all with the same results. Lousy word interpretation and otherwise useless.
This is my second attempt with the L30’s and I’m told by the audi that NAL is the way to go.

At the moment, the words are the clearest that I have heard to date, but there is still room for improvement.

I’ll look at the feedback test and the sound recovery and report back.

Sound recovery added a high pitch tinge to anything in the higher range and none of the settings got rid of it. The undo was not available IIRC.

The feedback was confusing because because it suggested that it was amending the settings but there was no indication of what changed???

Made some more curve changes (smoothed a bit) and some progress, but I need to determine how to properly adjust the overall gain on the left side; insertion gain curves, or?

BTW, is there a way to close the current session without saving it and without exiting the Target app? Have only been able to exit (without saving) and start over.

It would be helpful to be able to change sessions while not exiting the app.

Just uncheck the saving boxes and continue.

I probably should have said change to another session without exiting the program and starting over. :0(

Decided to try to emulate my headphones with the L30’s; they provide nearly perfect voice recognition while watching TV. Created a new client in Target and a fictitious flat line hearing test with a greater loss the left ear than the right ear.

Bingo. The ditty that plays when the ’s power up now sounds almost the same on both sides for the first time.

Voice recognition is now over 96%.

Attached are two pics; does any of this make sense to you?

BTW, the right side setting are the original unmodified Target created settings and the left side I modified to up the volume in the voice ranges.
