I recently had my first hearing test at specsavers and now lots of things make sense. I asked gp to refer me for an nhs test but when I rang was told was at least 12 month wait. Have decided to buy hearing aids while I wait. I have a small budget so trying to decide between specsavers advance standard or plus. The plus are double the price though I get still cheap compared to others. Trying to work out if its worth the extra money. I'm sure audiologist said standard are ones the nhs give out.

If you want a second opinion we can test you and give you some choices in terms of price/styles. The main difference about the NHS and private provision (other than the initial choice of aids) is the speed/availability of initial and subsequent service.
