I’ve been happily programming my Starkey for the last 15 years, and I want to get a pair of their new Genesis model, but I can’t get Inspire to update like I have in the past. I’ve always used PatientBase and it’s worked fine, but something is hanging it up and I don’t know if it’s Windows 11 or what.
Like I say, I have Inspire now, and it prompts me to upgrade to ProFit every time I boot Windows. When I try, the installation will stop when it sees PatientBase (the new one I guess) is missing. When I try to install the latest version from Starkey (PatientBase Setup 26.0.10014.0.exe), it’ll fail part way through and asks me to contact Starkey. I deleted the existing PatientBase and a bunch of SQL Servers that were installed (which I can put back if needed). I started to clean the registry but gave up after about 87 manual deletes. No luck. Installation still fails. I can’t even start Inspire now, but I can put it back the way it was.
I’m encouraged to see that other DIYers have had luck installing the new PB and ProFit. Is there a procedure I should be following?
