This will be different type of question, but I hope to get some good feedback. I wasn’t sure where to post this, I hope this is a good spot.
I started working with a 13yo (swim lessons). He has multiple challenges, some are panic and anxiety about water getting in his ears.
We both discovered he’s able to overcome a lot of those feelings by plugging his ears with his fingers. Before I recommend any particular style of ear plugs, I was hoping to get some ideas from anyone that knows more about this than I do.
I’m not sure he’s able to insert plugs himself, so these would need to be something his mom could do for him. I’m thinking of the silicon/wax style that are simple to shape and insert. I personally use silicon molded plugs that look like an in-canal type hearing aid, but do require adjustment to get them to seal properly. I don’t think he’d be able to work those.
Anyone with experience using the soft silicone/wax style?
