I have some questions regarding Target (other ). I’ll be grateful if someone can help with them:

What do you do to keep yourself updated on your hearing aids and what they “need”? How do you keep your memory refreshed regarding all the info you gained?

For instance, I haven’t used Target in a while. Now, I opened it, and I feel perplexed as if I’ve never used it.

When I use Direct in Target, I’ll go through the Real Test, right? How do you make sure it’s done accurately? I mean at home it’s not as quiet as it is in the booth – at least it’s not the case where I live. Would it be okay to hear beeps more than once in this case?

How to know the exact size of the vent in my hearing aid? I don’t remember it, and don’t think I saved this information somewhere.

Is there any video on how to make the most of Target? I have the guidelines, but for me, it would be useful to see, instead of “to read”! Also, if there are videos on how to change tubes and what to pay attention to. Every time I change them, I make a mistake at some point.

Are there any other tips I should follow or warnings to watch out for?

Target fitting software is an integral part of the fitting process and is being updated regularly. While much of the fitting software remains the consistent with previous versions, updates include new hearing performance features, programing options...

(3) Play with the software — for me that was the best way to learn it.

(4) Brian’s Hearing Club gives a good tutorial . He does a walkthrough of the Phillips Hearlink but the concepts are applicable to Target .

The in-situ is not meant to be used in a sound proof booth but on a desk in a quiet environment . The software will let you know if the environment is loud. Play the sounds and select the ones that you can hear comfortably.

Based on your questions , I think you need to review the documentation and training videos .
