Hey everyone,
I’m looking into trying to break into Technical Art. I have zero professional experience in it yet, but before I dive into the whole learning process, I wanted to see if anyone here works in tech or game dev with hearing loss.
Since I’m starting from scratch, I’m a bit nervous about the learning curve and how manageable the actual job is. I wanted to ask:
-
Are online tutorials, bootcamps, or video courses for tech art usually accessible enough with captions and good audio, or is learning this stuff a struggle with hearing aids?
-
How hard is it to handle open-office layouts or busy studio environments once you actually get a job?
-
Is remote work pretty common for these kinds of roles so you can just use headphones?
I’d love to hear from anyone in the industry to know if this is a realistic path to jump into. Thanks a bunch
