Hi everyone
I recently replaced the Left reciever wire on my Resound Linx Quattro 961 rechargeable hearing aids.
The aids are out of warranty.
The previous wire had gradually lost sound over a 3 day period.
I purchased a genuine identical Resound reciever wire and replaced the non functioning one.
Sound coming through the new reciever wire seems much louder than it did with the previous one. It’s so loud that there is a vibration with high frequency speech or music. The vibration is less noticeable with streamed sound.
When watching tv (not using a streamer) I have to turn the Left hearing aid volume level down to half of its programmed level for the vibration to go.
What is the problem?
The replacement Resound wire is EXACTLY the same model (SureFit 2C), length and power level (M), as the original broken one.
Does a Resound Linx Quattro hearing aid need a software update or service whenever a reciever wire is replaced?
What could be the problem?
All thoughts are welcome.
